Introduction

TempAR is an almost complete rewrite of the popular PSP cheat device NitePR/MKULTRA. TempAR contains many additional functionalities as well as improvements to the existing functionalities.

Features:

  • Supports CWCheat and PSPAR code types, support for NitePR codes was removed though codes can be made compatible using the included converter.
  • Re-written search functionality which much faster known and unknown memory search speed and less wear on the memory stick (in some cases search speed is more than 100x faster).
  • Cheats load almost instantly, no need to wait for your cheats to load on boot. It only takes ~2 seconds to parse a 2MB file.
  • Works with homebrew (uses same Game ID as CWCheat) and PSX games.
  • Supports grouping of codes into 2 types of collapsible folders, single-select folders and multi-select folders. Comments can also be grouped into folders.
  • UMD dumper to create ISO images from UMDs and PSStore EBOOTs.
  • Text viewer to view guides during gameplay, place text files in ms0:/seplugins/TempAR/text/{gameid}.txt.
  • No need to press the HOME button each time you start a game unlike other NitePR mods.

How do I make the pspar_codes1.bin from pspar.com work with TempAR?
  • The pspar_codes1.bin must first be converted to a plain text format, to do this drag and drop the downloaded pspar_codes1.bin onto the pspar.exe file in the PC folder. It will create a file with the same name and path as the original file but with a .db file extension, rename this file to cheat.db, cheat1.db, cheat2.db, etc. and place it in the TempAR folder on your memory stick.
Can I use both CWCheat and PSPAR code types in a single code?
  • No, the cheat engine supports using only one cheat engine per code (either CWCheat, PSPAR or PSPAR Extended). The prefix of the last line of the code determines the cheat engine used.
Can I use my NitePR codes with TempAR?
  • No, NitePR codes are not supported by TempAR. If you wish to use NitePR codes you must first convert them using the converter application in the PC folder. It should also be noted that upon deactivating the cheat the original values are not restored, this was done for both simplicity and to reduce memory overhead.
Can I use my CWCheat POPS codes with TempAR?
  • No, CWCheat POPS codes are not supported by TempAR. If you wish to use CWCheat POPS codes you must first convert them using the converter application in the PC folder. The convertor is still in it's infancy and there may be codes which do not work correctly after being converted.
